‘Bed & Breakfast’ shows sculpture, painting and photography by Arthur Foulkes and Jack Snow-Viener. The Artists have cross referenced personal and artistic histories, to construct representational artworks. Intrigued by private spaces and experiences the work explores the materialisation of comfort, pleasure, and amusement.

Arthur Foulkes’ practice is built upon experience and experiment. Observations of social dynamics and daily imagery inform the aesthetic configurations of Arthur’s expanded paintings. His process unites a tactile investigation of materials with impulsive inclinations to create colourful, tangible, and earnest re/presentations of life.

Jack snow-viener is an emerging artist based in Naarm working on with a multidisciplinary practice. Snow-viener investigates tensions between desire and loss reflecting on his own experiences with intimacy. Snow-viener mourns the loss of moments that will never occur, a tedious conjuring of the unattainable.
