screen/space is a group exhibition curated by Lance Zuniga that considers Jean Baudrillard's philosophy of simulacrum - confronting the notion that representations of artworks often transcend mere copies, generating entities that exist independently of their originals. Hyperreality manifests when the representations of artworks assume significance separate from the physical objects they depict. Through digital documentation, social media platforms, and online exhibitions, artworks transcend their material confines, existing in a state of perpetual replication and dissemination. In this hyperreal landscape, the lens can distort the physicality and scale of the material space and the lines between the real and the simulated blur.
