SPLITTING HAIRS
Group Show

01.03.24 - 03.03.24

SPLITTING HAIRS is a group exhibition drawn together by Isaac Lizardo that considers works of artists concerning the term passage. How a passage can denote a specific area or component and can signify a discernible transition or delineation within the composition. Each segment or element can be approached uniquely, with distinct passages encapsulating specific points in time. Exploring these ideas through these works allows for a nuanced examination, each bearing its interpretive potential and significance. Lizardo writes:

“A passage, an area, a portion, a change from one colour or tone to         another, to make use of a notable technique, a picture, a section of text, a line, a word. Considering a distinct manner in the way it has been treated, the segment, the element. The narrative or sequence of events, with different passages representing distinct moments in time.”

SPLITTING HAIRS features work from artists: Isabella Darcy, Isaac Lizardo, Raafat Ishak (courtesy of Sutton Gallery), Tomas Ording-Jespersen and Vivienne Tetaz.
